How will you make an impact?

To ensure timely collection, validation, and quality control of supplier and customer invoices in compliance with Saudi VAT regulations. The role involves maintaining accurate documentation, supporting VAT filing processes, and ensuring adherence to ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority) requirements.

Key elements to the role include, but not limited to:

Invoice Collection & Verification

• Collect supplier and customer invoices in accordance with internal timelines and VAT filing schedules.
• Verify invoices for compliance with Saudi VAT law
• Ensure all mandatory VAT fields (VAT number, QR code, tax amount, etc.) are correctly included.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve missing or incorrect invoices.

Quality Control

• Conduct systematic checks on invoice data accuracy, ensuring correct VAT treatment, amounts, and classifications.
• Review invoice uploads to ERP or accounting systems for completeness and accuracy.
• Identify and escalate discrepancies or risks of non-compliance.

Compliance & Reporting

• Support monthly and quarterly VAT returns by ensuring all invoices are validated and properly recorded.
• Maintain organized records and audit trails of VAT invoices and communications.
• Assist in internal and external VAT audits, providing required documentation promptly.
• Stay updated on ZATCA regulations, guidelines, and e-invoicing updates.

Process Improvement

• Recommend and implement improvements to invoice collection and verification workflows.
• Support training sessions for internal teams and vendors on VAT invoice compliance.
