Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Overview:

The Accounts Payable clerk will work as part of the accounting team. The ideal candidate will be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to effectively communicate with internal partners.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Procurement team to perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving documents, and vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy in quantity, pricing, and compliance with established thresholds.
• Process vendor invoices accurately and route them through the appropriate approval workflow.
• Verify and ensure accurate general ledger and cost center coding for all transactions prior to entry into the accounting system.
• Maintain complete and organized records by attaching all supporting documentation to vendor invoice records.
• Assist with internal and external audits and provide documentation for tax compliance as needed.
• Review and reconcile corporate credit card transactions, ensuring proper general ledger coding and resolving discrepancies as necessary

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and multi-task
• An urgency for deadlines and detail-oriented
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Intermediate level or higher MS Excel skills
• NetSuite or other ERP experience a plus
• Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test and background check in compliance with our safety program
