Accounts Payable Specialist

Our Consumer Products Good (CPG) client, in partnership with CV Resources, seeks a talented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their Corporate Finance and Accounting Team on a direct hire basis.

Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: West Los Angeles

Job Status (direct hire, temp, temp with possibility of hire) – This role is a direct hire one.

Job Site Status (onsite/hybrid/remote) – Our client has an onsite work status.

Compensation – Hourly rate is $30/hour to $35/hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

Accounts Payable (A/P tasks- 3-way matching, batching, and coding)

• Verify an invoice against purchase orders.
• Group multiple invoices for processing.
• Assign accounts to the relevant invoice.

Accounts Payable – scope of responsibilities

• Address and resolve vendor inquiries.
• Ensure proper vendor setup.
• Maintain accurate vendor records.
• Manage weekly Accounts Payable payments.
• Manage corporate credit card expenses.

Miscellaneous

• Accept all relevant tasks as given by upper management.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

Required

• At least five (5) years of Accounts Payable work experience.
• 3-way matching, batching, and coding experience

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable major.
• Prior or current employment at a manufacturing/CPG/Logistics organization.

SKILLS OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST

Required

Technical

• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, INDEX, SUMIFs)

Interpersonal

• Self-starter who can take the initiative, work with minimum supervision, and take responsibility for your work.
• Superb analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent project management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Impeccable communication skills.
