Accounts Payable Technician

Overview

The Larimer County Finance Department is looking for an Accounts Payable Technician to join our team! This is a hybrid, 30-hour per week position that offers a variety of duties and lots of collaborative interaction with all county departments and offices.

The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a hybrid work option - just two days a week required in the office!

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

  • Auditing and reviewing invoice payment requests and purchasing card transactions, including all supporting documentation, to ensure compliance with County policies and procedures.
  • Training County employees on the County's financial system, including Accounts Payable, Purchasing Card, and Vendor Management
  • Explaining County policies and procedures as they apply to payments, such as purchasing card payments, and Virtual Payments.
  • Processing invoice payments for the Finance Department and other departments as requested.
  • Processing all employee reimbursement requests, including travel-related expenses
  • Verifying vendor information and finalizing approvals.
  • Distributing accounts payable warrants.
  • Communicating and responding to suppliers, community member inquiries, complaints, and County personnel's requests for payment-related non-confidential information.

  • Two (2) years of experience as a Larimer County Accounts Payable Technician I or comparable experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
