Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

Staggs Plumbing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage daily financial transactions and actively follow up on outstanding customer balances. This role is critical to maintaining the company's cash flow. The ideal candidate is organized, persistent, and comfortable communicating with customers and accounts regarding past due invoices on both the receivable and payable level.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage all outstanding customer invoices
• Contact customers via phone, email, and text to collect past due balances
• Maintain detailed notes on all collection efforts
• Set up payment plans when necessary
• Resolve billing discrepancies with customers
• Ensure timely posting of all incoming payments
• Proactively follow up on overdue accounts daily, making arrangements in order to get current on balances
• Maintain organized financial records
• Assist with bookkeeping and account reconciliation using QuickBooks Online

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable REQUIRED
• Strong collections experience HIGHLY PREFERRED
• Experience in Plumbing, HVAC, or Construction is a PLUS
• Proficient in Quickbooks Online REQUIRED
• Strong communication and negotiation skills REQUIRED
• Highly organized and detail-oriented REQUIRED
• Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally REQUIRED
• Self-motivated and able to work independently REQUIRED
• Pay bills on time and be able to provide the total monthly operating cost REQUIRED

Pay: $25.07 - $30.19 per hour
