Role Description: Receivable Accountant

Highway Rent a Car is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Receivable Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, monitoring outstanding balances, reconciling rental invoices, and ensuring timely collections in line with UAE financial regulations and company policies.

The candidate must have prior experience in the UAE Rent a Car industry and a strong understanding of rental agreements, traffic fines, Salik charges, VAT, and security deposits.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly rental invoices.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Prepare customer aging reports and collection summaries.
• Reconcile client accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Sales and Operations regarding contract status and payments.
• Monitor security deposits, pre-authorizations, refunds, and deductions.
• Handle corporate accounts, LPO billing, and long-term leasing accounts.
• Track traffic fines, Salik charges, and insurance-related deductions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards.
• Maintain proper documentation and reporting for audit purposes.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable.
• Mandatory experience in the UAE Rent a Car industry.
• Strong knowledge of rental software systems (Speed, TARS, or similar).
• Experience handling high-volume rental operations.
• Strong reconciliation and collection follow-up experience.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (aging reports, reconciliations, tracking sheets).
• Knowledge of UAE VAT (5%) and financial compliance.
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems.

Language Skills:

• Proficiency in English.
