Accounts Receivable Clerk

About the Role

Elysee Management Co. is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our growing retail property portfolio. The ideal candidate brings a combination of bookkeeping and property management experience, and is comfortable liaising with tenants, on-site managers, and company executives in a fast-paced environment.

This is an in-office position at our Washington Heights office (1387 Saint Nicholas Avenue, 2nd Floor, NY 10033). Candidates must be able to reliably commute to this location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process rent bills and manage monthly billing cycles
  • Maintain tenant records, leases, rent rolls, and contact information using Appfolio property management software
  • Track critical lease-related dates including renewals, expirations, and option deadlines
  • Assist with legal matters and coordinate with counsel as directed
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Maintain and update property data across the portfolio
  • Preserve historical records through organized document filing
  • Support general office and administrative operations as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior bookkeeping experience required; property management background strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with Appfolio or comparable property management software preferred
  • Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Solid accounting fundamentals and financial reporting ability
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Clear, professional communication skills for tenant and executive-facing interaction
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Must be able to reliably commute to our Washington Heights office

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
