Job Purpose

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the full Accounts Receivable (AR) function, ensuring timely collection of receivables, compliance with legal accounting standards, and accurate financial reporting. The role involves managing the end-to-end AR framework, supervising AR staff, and maintaining strong internal controls to safeguard company revenue.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Receivable function.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, payment posting, and reconciliation of customer accounts.
• Monitor aging reports and proactively manage collections to minimize overdue balances.
• Lead the end-to-end AR framework, including credit control, billing cycles, dispute resolution, and cash application.
• Ensure compliance with local legal accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies.
• Prepare and review AR reports, aging analysis, and monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Operations, Legal) to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to receivables.
• Implement internal controls and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Supervise and mentor AR team members, ensuring performance standards are met.
• Assist in internal and external audits related to receivables.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.

Minimum Experience

• 5–7 years of experience in a core Accounts Receivable role.
• Strong expertise in legal accounting compliance, financial reporting, and end-to-end AR framework management.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
