Accounts Receivable/Collections

Diversified Transfer & Storage is expanding its collections department and has an immediate opening for an Accounts Receivable/Cash Collections team member in our Billings MT office.

Under the direction of the Accounts Receivable Team Lead, you will be responsible for accurately applying all forms of payment, making collection calls on past due accounts and reconciling account balances. This position provides customer service support regarding collection issues and billing discrepancies. This position is also responsible for monitoring and maintaining account balances, customer calls and account reconciliations.

• Sort, scan and Index AR Journals, customer Agreements and miscellaneous
• customer information to EBE, our document imaging system.
• Provide statements, backup documentation and any other information to customers to assist them in reconciling their account and issue payments to DTS
• Professional Phone etiquette
• Continuous follow-up with customers.
• Verify customers contact information and update accordingly.
• Keep detailed notes per customer correspondence.
• Be able to work independently and take initiative.
• Report difficult accounts to AR Team Lead and make recommendations on further action to take.
• Process all forms of payment by the customers and accurately apply those payments to the customers’ accounts.
• Handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional qualifications include experience with the Microsoft Office products; Excel, Word, and Outlook; general math skills, attention to detail, organization, data entry skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to maintain professionalism when working with a difficult situation, a background in bookkeeping and accounting with an understanding of the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collection processes.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
