Accounts Reconciliation Analyst

A. Objective

To contribute to the finance and accounting team by ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of online payment transactions, supporting internal and external audits, and maintaining financial integrity through attention to detail and adherence to policies. Seeking strong analytical skills, knowledge of digital payment systems, and a commitment to improving financial processes, while further developing career in accounting.

B. Roles and Responsibilities

Payment Reconciliation:

• Reconcile daily online payment transactions from various sources, including credit cards, PayBy, QR payments, POS terminals, and bank statements.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or missing transactions in collaboration with banks, payment service providers, and internal teams.
• Monitor chargebacks, refunds, and disputes, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of payment transactions and ensure proper posting into the accounting system.

Accounting & Reporting:

• Assist in preparing monthly reconciliation reports and financial statements related to online payments.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies regarding online transactions.
• Collaborate with the finance team to improve efficiency in reconciliation processes.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

General Accounting & Ad Hoc Tasks:

• Process journal entries and assist in accounts payable/receivable tasks when needed.
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary reports and documentation.
• Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis based on management requirements.
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulations related to digital payments.
• Perform tasks as otherwise instructed by your superiors.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting or payment reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) and accounting software.
• Experience with ERP systems and online payment gateways is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a strong analytical mindset.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with different departments and financial institutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED4,500.00 per month
