Acquiring Business Development & Relationship Officer – E- Commerce

Maintain structured documentation on onboarding, integration, and performance milestones for internal governance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

1. Business Development Leader

  • Drive volume growth by identifying strategic merchant segments (airlines, travel, education, utilities, retail, etc.) and securing long-term partnerships.
  • Expand partnerships with global and regional PSPs to strengthen CB’s acquiring ecosystem.

2. Integration Facilitator

  • Ensure smooth onboarding of PSPs and merchants with minimal delays, proactively resolving technical or operational bottlenecks.

3. Relationship Builder & Success Advocate

  • Foster trust-based relationships with key decision-makers in merchant organizations and PSPs, positioning CB as a partner in growth.

4. Governance & Compliance Enabler

  • Ensure all merchant and PSP arrangements comply with QCB regulations, scheme mandates, and internal risk frameworks.
  • Partner with Risk/Compliance teams to proactively manage potential vulnerabilities

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Deep understanding of online payment ecosystem, PSP Integrations, Digital checkout flow, fraud control and scheme mandates (Visa, Mastercard, Amex UPI etc)
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with proven experience in deal closures.
  • Deep understanding of merchant acquiring, PSP models, e-commerce platforms, and digital payments landscape.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on results.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge of CRM and project management tools preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE-

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in managing and growing an E-commerce acquiring portfolio, including merchant onboarding, pricing, and PSP integrations.
  • 7–10 years of experience in Merchant Acquiring, E-commerce, or Payment Service Provider management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong exposure to digital acquiring, online payment gateways, and PSP integrations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of card scheme rules (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UPI, etc.), regulatory requirements, and payment security standards (PCI DSS, 3DS, tokenization).
  • Proven track record in achieving business growth targets and managing large-scale merchant relationships.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR7,000.00 per month
