Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated Underwriting Specialist to join our Underwriting team. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to support pricing, risk assessment, portfolio analysis, and the development of underwriting strategies. You will play a key role in ensuring technical excellence, data-driven decision-making, and business sustainability across our product lines.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Perform actuarial analyses to support pricing, profitability studies, and underwriting decisions.

  • Develop and maintain actuarial models, assumptions, and methodologies.

  • Analyse portfolio performance, claims trends, and risk exposures.

  • Support the development and refinement of underwriting guidelines and risk selection criteria.

  • Prepare actuarial reports, dashboards, and insights for senior management.

  • Collaborate with Underwriting, Product, Finance, and Data teams to improve processes and decision-making.

  • Participate in regulatory reporting and compliance requirements as needed.

  • Contribute to strategic initiatives such as new product development, risk modelling, and process improvement.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.

  • Good command of English,

  • Progress toward actuarial exams (SOA, IFoA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.


  • 1–3 years of experience in actuarial, underwriting, or risk analysis roles (insurance industry experience preferred).


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.


  • Solid knowledge of actuarial concepts, insurance pricing, and risk modelling.


  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R) is a plus.


  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


  • Strong teamwork, time-management, and organisational skills.
