Adjunct Faculty - Health Sciences, Emergency Medical Services (Paramedic)

Faculty members are responsible for providing effective instruction in one or more of Emergency Medical Services discipline. By using various learning methodologies that support a learning by doing philosophy, curriculum is taught to second language learners within a student-centric learning environment that fosters respect for students, their culture, and traditions. Faculty members play an important role in assisting with the development and preservation of system-wide and directorate-specific policies, and are viewed as active participants in academic and extra-curricular events at the College and within the community.

Adjunct Faculty are temporary teaching staff employed within the college to enhance student learning, and who bring with them a wide array of practical knowledge and varied experience.

Reporting to the Program Coordinator of a Division, Adjunct Faculty provide effective instruction in undergraduate courses in respective discipline, covering regular program courses including capstone projects, work experience, and senior-level specialized courses. Involvement in applied research and extra-curricular events at the College and within the community and outreach activities are welcomed.

Adjunct Faculty teaching load are assigned on as per need basis and may not exceed six (9) credits per semester. The workdays in a week are normally Sundays to Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The hours of work for academic employees are based on the teaching schedule.

• The successful candidate will possess an earned academic degree ( Masters and Doctorate) in Paramedics or Emergency Medical Services or other relevant degree.
• The successful candidate should be currently serving in an industrial position and at least 5 years of relevant industrial experience in an area relevant to the program he/ she is serving.
• The successful candidate should have a valid UAE Visa
