Purpose of the Position:
As Manager – Administration & Industrial Relations (IR), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth administrative operations and fostering positive employee relations across the location. You will be responsible for managing employee relations in a unionized environment, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Navigated HR and Industrial Relations (IR) complexities with unionized staff, managing employee relations, disciplinary actions and ensuring adherence to legal procedures.
Efficiently managed mess operations for management and factory staff; skillfully addressed CBA and non-management staff grievances, maintaining compliance and positive employee relations.
Spearheaded government correspondence with EOBI, Social Security, and other agencies, ensuring timely payments, accurate record maintenance, and smooth interactions with regulatory bodies.
Oversee all administrative operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day management of office and plant facilities.
Implement, and monitor HR & IR policies in line with labor laws and company standards.
Maintain strong relationships with employees, unions, and external stakeholders to foster a positive work environment.
Supervise security, transport, housekeeping, and other support services.
Coordinate with all concerned departments to drive employee engagement, performance, and workplace safety initiatives.
Prepare reports on IR trends and administrative improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in law, Human Resources, OR Business Administration
8-12 years of experience in administration and industrial relations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and best practices in IR.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism in sensitive situations.
