Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Manage hospital facilities maintenance, repairs, and engineering system operations.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Oversee vendor contracts, service agreements, and external engineering suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety codes and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with administration, clinical teams and support services for operations.
• Develop and manage facility budgets, cost control and resource planning.
• Supervise engineering staff, technicians and ensure effective team performance.
• Monitor utilities usage, sustainability efforts and infrastructure optimisation initiatives.

Skill & Experience

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical and facility systems.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective vendor management, contract negotiation and supplier coordination capabilities.
• Good communication skills for cross-department collaboration and leadership reporting.
• Proficiency in budget management, cost analysis and facility planning practices.
• Awareness of healthcare safety regulations, compliance and risk mitigation strategies.
