Performs a variety of administrative functions for one or more Medical Center professionals. Work often requires detailed knowledge of area and the application and interpretation of organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Answers the telephone, greets visitors, schedules appointments and meetings, and coordinates travel and conference arrangements.
Develops and implements effective and professional office practices and procedures.
Handles purchasing, personnel transactions and special projects.
Performs area-specific support activities.
Communicates appropriately using good interpersonal skills.
Serves, manages and supports internal and external customers.
Participates in performance improvement activities.
Participates as a team member and is accountable for own work responsibilities.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent .
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience
Licensure: Valid Virginia Driver’s License may be required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, climbing (ladder, steps), reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive) and driving. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, vibrations, heat, dust, noise, radiation and outdoor climate.
Position Compensation Range: $17.65 - $27.36 Hourly
