Bridgeport Charter Township

Bridgeport Charter Township is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of the Township and assist the Township Manager with administrative, payroll, and human resource functions.

Position Summary

This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient Township operations by coordinating payroll and benefits, maintaining personnel and financial records, supporting departmental activities, and serving as a point of contact for the public, staff, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll and administer employee benefits
  • Maintain accurate personnel and insurance records
  • Assist with financial tracking, including property tax reconciliation
  • Support Township communications, reports, and special projects
  • Provide information and assistance to residents and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with department heads and support organizational initiatives

Qualifications

  • Experience in administrative support, payroll, HR, or related field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Work Schedule

Primarily weekday office hours, with occasional evening meetings as required.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary and benefits package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
