Job title Part time Administrative Assistant

Steve's Shoe & Pedorthic Center is seeking a reliable, detail oriented and self-motivated part time Administrative Assistant to keep this small facility running smoothly. Steve's Shoe & Pedorthic Center, located in North Kingstown and has been making custom orthotics and shoe modifications for over 38 years.

There are three main components to the job - customer service, bookkeeping, and general office help. The list of duties below is not comprehensive, and other duties may be assigned as needed.

· Customer Service Duties:

Answer the phone.

Greet Customers.

Make appointments; Maintain schedule.
Call and email customers regarding appointments/ orders.
Answer customer questions.
Establish new customers/ maintain customer records.

· Bookkeeping Duties:
Balance and maintain checkbook.
Enter and pay bills.
Create invoices.
Process credit cards, use cash register and apply payments to invoices.
Create purchase orders.
Prepare/ maintain Excel reports.

· Office Duties:

Receive and process packages.

Process returns.

Place orders for supplies and merchandise by phone and by business-to-business websites.
Keep track of pending orders.

Maintain referrals list.

Maintain filing system.

Follow up letters to doctors.

Establish new customers on online communication portal.

Maintain Social Media Accounts.

Keep work area tidy and clean.

Keep display area clean.

· Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and Constant Contact preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Customer Service experience preferred.
Friendly attitude.

Ability to multitask.

Organization skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
