Administrative Assistant III

Position description

Provide complex accounting, administrative, program coordinating, and clerical support to the Ninth Judicial Circuit's Court Interpreting Department. Process all scheduled and on-demand interpreter requests. Coordinate daily staff and contractual interpreter schedules with little supervision utilizing case management reports and cross-county calendars. Must possess wide knowledge of interpreter best practices and corresponding laws and rules of procedure. Conducts general review of invoices and contracts for processing. Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, interacting frequently with judges, judicial assistants, attorneys, court staff, and the public. Must possess strong writing skills and the ability to work independently. High call volume. Strong computer skills and knowledge of video conference platforms including Virtual Remote lnterpreting software. Fluency in Spanish preferred.

Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited four-year college or university. Three years of work experience in business administration, office skills, or related field may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis, excluding supervisory experience.
