About this Job


This position works under the Property Control Department at Delgado Community College.

The successful candidate must be able to drive a state vehicle(s) to deliver shipments/assets to designated departments campus wide.

Candidates who have experience operating a forklift and know how to change the propane tank on the forklift are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:


  • Maintains electronic records of delivered shipments.
  • Processes receipt, storage and distribution of materials.
  • Communicates with college Departments to ensure delivers.
  • Facilitates the return of damaged or unwanted items.
  • Assigns asset numbers to all eligible state assets, physically apply state tags to assets. Accurately enters electronic information utilizing state tracking system (recoup).
  • Assets include computers, printers, furniture and training equipment as it is received by the college.
  • Physically receives, logs and tracks with WTS software, shipments for all of Shipping & Receiving. Shipments are for all campuses.
  • Manages warehouse shipments using WTS software. Process electronic data into database.
  • Ensures deliveries and pick up of items. Must be able to lift over 50 pounds. Must be able to change propane on the forklift.
  • Drive state vehicle(s) to deliver shipments/assets to designated departments campus wide.
