Administrative Coordinator I (Planning & Accreditation) 2674

Job Responsibilities

Under limited supervision, this role supports the Associate Vice President for Planning and Accreditation in coordinating college-wide initiatives related to SACSCOC compliance and accreditation, institutional planning, special projects, and administrative operations.

Key responsibilities include coordinating and preparing all SACSCOC-related materials, managing faculty credential records, and assisting in the development of strategic and annual planning documents. The role also provides support for professional development days, contributes to the creation and maintenance of college-wide calendars, and coordinates various ad hoc projects.

In addition, this position handles administrative functions such as entering requisitions, ensuring adherence to procurement policies and procedures on behalf of the division, and tracking purchases through completion.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services, or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and two (2) years of relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services, or an associate’s degree with four (4) years of related experience. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, is preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational, customer service, and problem-solving abilities, and effective time-management skills. This position requires the ability to work independently with limited supervision, exercise discretion and professionalism, collaborate effectively as part of a team, and perform well under pressure. Flexibility in scheduling, awareness of institution-wide activities, and the ability to travel as needed are also preferred.
