Douglas Fast Net (DFN) delivers high-speed fiber internet to homes and businesses across Lane, Douglas, and Coos counties. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Administrative & HR Assistant to help keep our operations running smoothly and support our growing team.


This position is ideal for someone with at least 2-4 years of administrative support experience who is interested in learning entry level human resources tasks and who enjoys working on a variety of tasks, supporting others, and maintaining organization a family and community-oriented environment. This is a fulltime position working 32-40 hours per week dependent on business needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide general administrative and office support — scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, preparing correspondence, managing reports, and maintaining electronic filing systems.
  • Assist with HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, safety programs, and employee file management.
  • Support DFN Board of Directors meetings through preparation of agendas and documentation.
  • Coordinate company events, training sessions, and building maintenance needs.
  • Manage insurance documentation, assist with renewals and claims, and ensure compliance with coverage requirements.
  • Help maintain accurate company records and respond to regulatory inquiries (e.g., BBB, FCC).
  • Perform other related projects and administrative duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
  • 2–4 years of experience in office administration or HR
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new platforms (HRIS, LMS, electronic filing)
  • Ability to read and interpret legal or compliance documents
  • Professional, positive, and customer-service oriented demeanor
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
