Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Legal Assistant to support our busy Labor and Employment law firm. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal administrative experience and be proficient in managing a variety of legal tasks across multiple practice areas including litigation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with attorneys and clients, providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth legal operations and case management.
Duties
- Provide administrative support to attorneys including calendar management, appointment scheduling, and correspondence handling
- Manage legal case files and document management systems ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Perform document review such as proofreading, drafting and finalization.
- Organize and maintain legal files electronically with meticulous attention to detail
- Assist with client communication under attorney supervision
- Transcribe dictations; manage filing systems efficiently
- Coordinate with external agencies or clients regarding case documentation or procedural requirements
- Support attorneys in project management tasks related to ongoing cases
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant in a law office setting with familiarity in litigation.
- Proficiency in legal drafting, proofreading, transcription skills; excellent writing skills required.
- Proficiency in MSWord and Excel.
- Experience with document review and ability to organize large volumes of information accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for client interaction and internal communication.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly; high level of professionalism required.
- Demonstrated clerical experience including filing systems and administrative support functions such as scheduling and correspondence handling.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
