Admissions Specialist

Position Summary

Cornerstone Healing Center is seeking an experienced Admissions Specialist to manage and convert inbound referrals, including leads generated through ZocDoc and other digital platforms.

This role is ideal for a behavioral health admissions professional who understands both clinical fit and insurance navigation — particularly commercial insurance — and can confidently guide individuals and families through the intake process.

This is not a high-volume call center role. We are looking for someone who brings sound judgment, professionalism, and steady follow-through to each interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inbound referrals, including ZocDoc leads, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion
• Conduct clinical screenings to determine appropriate level of care (residential, outpatient, virtual, DUI/DV programs)
• Verify and explain commercial insurance benefits and AHCCCS coverage
• Provide clear guidance to clients and families regarding program structure and next steps
• Coordinate admissions logistics with clinical and operations teams
• Document all interactions accurately in the CRM
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and ethical admissions practices
• Support census growth through professional, responsive lead management

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

• Minimum 1 year of behavioral health admissions experience
• Experience admitting into residential and/or outpatient levels of care
• Strong working knowledge of commercial insurance verification of benefits
• Professional phone presence and strong verbal communication skills
• Comfort using CRM systems and digital scheduling platforms

Preferred:

• Experience managing online referral platforms such as ZocDoc
• Experience explaining benefits and financial responsibility to clients
• Valid and unrestricted Arizona Driver’s License
• Commitment to Cornerstone Healing Center’s code of ethics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
