Sentara Medical Group has a full-time opening for an APP (NP or PA) to join Sentara Primary Care & Therapy Center in Staunton, VA (Opens in a new tab).

Position Highlights:

• Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm
• 40 hours a week (36 patient contact hours and 4 hours of admin time)
• Flexibility to work 4 or 5 days a week to meet the 36 patient contact hours
• 16-18 patients/day
• Patient population – newborns through geriatrics; patients of all ages
• Call schedule: every 8 weeks, with minimal volume, RN triaged first
• Robust training with APP specific training modules, dedicated APP mentor, and specialty shadowing experiences

Minimum Requirements:

• Active NP or PA
• Prefer experience as an APP with a background in primary care, med surg, and/or emergency medicine

Experience

• 5+ years of direct care RN experience preferred
• Strong assessment skills, experience managing chronic conditions, and previous exposure to diverse patient population of all ages
