Job Purpose
The Head of Aeronautical Business Development is responsible for identifying, optimizing, and growing aeronautical business opportunities to maximize revenue generation potential in alignment with the overall Dammam Airports strategy. This role involves strategic planning, stakeholder management, and leading a high-performing team to achieve commercial objectives.
Position Accountability Description
Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement strategic plans for aeronautical business development, aligning with Dammam Airports overall objectives.

Identify potential development opportunities for new and existing airline customers (including cargo carriers), including new routes, additional frequencies for existing carriers and/or up gauging.

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
Business Development and Relationship Management:

Strengthen relationships with key airlines, Cargo operators, General aviation & other stakeholders to foster collaboration and secure business growth.

Develop and strengthen participation in Routes Conferences, particularly at the regional level, to promote Dammam Airports offerings and attract new airlines.

Increase fleet allocation and seat capacity at Dammam Airports by engaging with airlines and negotiating favorable terms.
Operational Excellence: Oversee

the development and execution of aeronautical communication and marketing plans in alignment with Commercial Business Intelligence.

Ensure effective coordination with relevant stakeholders to align network and traffic plans with airport capacity.

Monitor and assess the performance of current routes and services, implementing improvements as needed to optimize revenue and service quality.
Financial Management:

Develop and manage the budget for the Aeronautical Business Development division, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses to assess the viability and profitability of new routes and services.

Implement cost-saving measures and optimize pricing strategies to enhance revenue generation.
Team Leadership and Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop the Aeronautical Business Development team, setting clear performance expectations and providing ongoing support.

Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and engaged workforce, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development programs to enhance team capabilities.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

Represent Dammam Airports in industry forums and regulatory meetings, influencing policies and standards to benefit the organization.

Communicate effectively with senior leadership on business performance, challenges, and strategic opportunities.

Manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education Background:
Bachelor’s degree: Aviation Management or equivalent
Relevant Experience:
Minimum15 years of total experience in aviation or airport business development, with a strong focus on aeronautical business strategies and route development.
