We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Aftercare Teacher to join our faith-based educational team. In this role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children after school hours, supporting their social, emotional, and academic development. Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori principles to promote holistic childhood development.
  • Manage classroom activities efficiently while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Support children with special education needs through early intervention strategies and individualized lesson plans.
  • Utilize effective behavior management techniques to encourage positive conduct and social skills among students.
  • Conduct regular assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers by providing updates on children’s development, progress, and any concerns related to child welfare or classroom behavior.
  • Plan and execute engaging tutoring sessions or physical activities that enhance learning experiences beyond traditional classroom settings.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse student needs effectively.
  • Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational programs aligned with childhood development standards.
  • Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention techniques, and literacy education strategies.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods or other child-centered teaching philosophies is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to interact confidently with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
