Afterschool Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Afterschool Teacher to join our early childhood team, working with pre-K children aged 4 to 5 years old. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children's development through structured and play-based learning during the afterschool hours. This position is responsible for planning and facilitating activities, supervising children, and maintaining a positive and safe environment.

• Supervise and engage children aged 4–5 during afterschool hours in both indoor and outdoor activities.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate enrichment activities including art, games, music, movement, and storytelling.
• Create a positive, inclusive environment that promotes social-emotional learning, cooperation, and respect.
• Maintain consistent routines that help children feel safe, supported, and engaged.
• Provide a balance of structured activities and free play to support development.
• Assist with snack time, bathroom routines, and end-of-day transitions.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with families and other staff.
• Ensure the classroom and materials are clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, licensing regulations, and center policies.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development trainings as required.

Monday – Friday: Typical shift: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Year-round position (follows school-year schedule with extended hours on breaks and early-release days). Closed on major holidays

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
