AGILE DELIVERY LEAD

Agile Delivery Lead

Be the link between great engineers and software delivery that powers critical logistics operations.

Who We Are:

United States Cold Storage owns and operates one of the most complex temperature-controlled logistics networks in North America. Every day, our systems coordinate the storage and movement of food on a national scale across a network of state-of-the-art distribution centers, including multiple highly automated warehouse facilities.

We continue to advance our core warehouse and logistics platforms. Our current focus is on modular, event-driven, API-first and cloud architecture. We continue to enhance reliability and accelerate engineering productivity by strengthening our SRE and AI practices. This is a large investment in innovation to continue to drive operational excellence at our facilities.

If you want to build durable systems that operate in the physical world on a scale, this is that opportunity.

The Role:

The Agile Delivery Lead is accountable for how software gets delivered across multiple teams—not by enforcing process, but by improving systems of work.

You will lead delivery for individual teams and coach other Scrum Masters, raising the bar on transparency, execution quality, and continuous improvement. Your job is to help teams ship durable systems, surface real constraints, and steadily increase operational reliability.

This role reports to the Associate Director of Software Engineering and operates at the intersection of engineering, operations, and leadership.

What You Will Own:

  • Delivery health and execution quality across multiple agile teams.
  • Coaching Scrum Masters and teams toward consistent, sustainable agile maturity.
  • Establishing and tracking delivery metrics that reflect velocity, quality, and change over time.
  • Monitoring team health and developer satisfaction, and escalating friction points with clear recommendations.
  • Facilitating core Scrum ceremonies with discipline and purpose.
  • Identifying and removing impediments that slow team delivery.
  • Driving transparency and accountability across teams and leadership.
  • Translating team-level delivery reality into clear, actionable communication for leadership.

Technical Environment:

  • Custom-built, business-critical software systems supporting logistics and cold-chain operations.
  • Scrum-based delivery across a large, distributed development organization.
  • Tooling includes Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and Azure.

You will operate in an environment where delivery decisions have real downstream impact on facilities, customers, and supply chain continuity.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Scrum Master preferred, but practical leadership matters more than credentials.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams toward higher agile maturity over time.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and directly across technical and leadership audiences.
  • Strong documentation skills that support clarity, continuity, and decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience selecting, collecting, and interpreting delivery metrics.
  • A track record of building and sustaining high-performing teams.
  • Experience with metric tracking and project management tooling such as Jira and Confluence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience automating workflows or reporting using low-code tools (Power Automate, SharePoint, or similar).
  • Experience working with distributed or offshore development teams across time zones.

Why This Role Is Different:

This is not a transformation theater role. You are not installing agile—you are improving how real systems get built and operated.

  • You’ll work with teams building software that directly supports physical operations.
  • Constraints are real: uptime, reliability, scale, and operational continuity.
  • Improvement is incremental, durable, and visible — not a framework rollout or a reset that disappears in six months.
  • Success is measured by system outcomes, not process adherence.

If you care about craftsmanship, system health, and delivery that matters, this role gives you room to lead.

Compensation & Structure:

  • Salary Range: $120,000.00-$150,000.00/yr.
  • Location: Hybrid, Camden, NJ
  • Reports to: Associate Director, Software Development
  • Travel: Less than 10%
