Description
ENOVA - REQUIRED FOR UAE AIRPORT PROJECT. AGL TECHNICIAN (Air Field Ground Lighting) - 10 NOS.
Key Accountabilities
- Install, maintain, and repair air ground lighting systems, including runway lights, taxiway lights, and approach lights.
- Conduct regular inspections of lighting systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Replace faulty components and perform necessary adjustments to optimize lighting performance.
- Diagnose electrical issues and malfunctions in air ground lighting systems using appropriate testing equipment.
- Implement effective solutions for identified problems to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities for compliance and auditing purposes.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as airport safety protocols.
- Participate in safety training and adhere to safety guidelines to minimize hazards.
- Report any unsafe conditions or practices to management immediately.
- Work closely with other maintenance and operations staff to coordinate activities and ensure minimal disruption to airport operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding project status and issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare reports on the condition of lighting systems and recommend upgrades or replacements as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to air ground lighting systems.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Respond promptly to all AGL breakdowns, ensuring that equipment is returned effectively to operation.
- Ensure that all equipment, processes and fixtures are fully compliant with organizational and legislative health and safety requirements.
- Carry out inspection and monitoring, fault finding, diagnosis and repair of each site's Aeronautical Ground Lighting system and associated equipment.
- Work with shift technicians as may be required to maintain operational capability in line with their respective operational hours.
- Work individually and part of a team delivering AGL and general FM duties across all sites.
- Carry out core FM duties to support operational and departmental requirements.
- Engage and supervise contractors to ensure they comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety code of conduct.
Qualifications, Experiences, Skills Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical systems or related field preferred.
Minimum Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance work in the relevant field.
Job-specific Skills
- Proficiency in English language.
- Coordination, numerical and communication skills.
- Understanding and following SOPs / work instructions.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards; job specific skills in the relevant field.
- Good computer and typing skills with the ability to use Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, Word and Excel.
