Responsibilities:


  • Design, plan, and implement efficient irrigation systems across various properties to support landscaping, parks, and agricultural areas.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation infrastructure, ensuring optimal water distribution and conservation practices.
  • Develop water management strategies to optimize water use, reduce waste, and promote sustainability.
  • Regularly monitor and assess irrigation system performance to identify areas of improvement or necessary repairs.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure the proper integration of irrigation systems with site designs.
  • Conduct training and supervision of irrigation staff, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Supervise day-to-day agricultural activities, including planting, harvesting, pest control, and crop management to achieve desired outcomes for landscape aesthetics and agricultural productivity.
  • Oversee soil management, fertilization, and crop rotation practices to maintain soil health and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and industry standards for sustainable farming practices.
  • Monitor plant health, assess environmental conditions, and provide solutions for optimal growth and yield.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers to procure agricultural materials, equipment, and seeds.
  • Implement integrated pest management strategies to control pests and diseases in crops and landscapes.
  • Lead the preparation of reports on irrigation performance, crop yields, and other relevant agricultural metrics.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Horticulture, Irrigation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in both irrigation and agricultural management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, water conservation techniques, and agricultural management practices.
  • Experience with soil analysis, pest management, crop protection, and fertilization.
  • Ability to use irrigation management software and other relevant tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Knowledge of sustainable practices and environmental regulations in irrigation and agriculture is a plus.
