We are looking for an " AI Architect " to take part in Şişecam Headquarter located in Tuzla/İstanbul.

The AI Architect is a pivotal strategic and technical leader who will be instrumental in bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI research and robust, scalable, production-ready solutions tailored for Şişecam's diverse business needs. This role is crucial for establishing the foundational architecture, best practices, and technological standards that will enable our data science team to deploy impactful AI solutions efficiently, securely, and reliably across the organization. This role will not only design systems but also critically assess, select, and integrate ready-to-use AI products and vendor solutions ('buy' strategy) alongside custom-built functionalities ('make' strategy). The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in software architecture, with at least 3-5 years specifically focused on designing and deploying large-scale AI/ML systems in production environments.
• Demonstrable experience architecting solutions involving Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns, or fine-tuning techniques.
• Proven experience in architecting and implementing MLOps frameworks and automated ML pipelines.
• Strong expertise with major cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP) and their respective AI/ML services.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI/ML (e.g., Python) and experience with relevant ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Proven experience with evaluating, selecting, integrating, and managing third-party AI products, platforms, or cloud-native AI services.
• Exceptional leadership, mentorship, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a young, dynamic team.
• A strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and a strong focus on delivering business value through both custom builds and strategic partnerships.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, highly collaborative environment.
• Passionate about fostering an innovative culture and continuous learning, particularly in the fast-evolving field of Generative AI.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Develop and maintain Şişecam’s enterprise-wide AI architecture vision and roadmap, identifying key components, platforms, and integration points for scalable AI adoption.
• Strategic 'Buy vs. Make' Decisions: Lead the evaluation, selection, and integration of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) AI products, platforms, and third-party vendor solutions, balancing these with custom-built components to optimize for speed, cost, and long-term maintainability.
• Generative AI Leadership: Define and champion the architectural strategy and roadmap for Generative AI (GenAI) adoption across Şişecam, identifying high-impact use cases and the necessary technical infrastructure for large language models (LLMs) and other generative capabilities.
• Design robust, scalable, secure, and performant end-to-end AI/ML systems, encompassing data ingestion, feature engineering, model training/evaluation, and deployment (real-time, batch, edge), monitoring, and retraining mechanisms.
• Architect scalable and secure solutions for Generative AI applications, including considerations for large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) patterns, fine-tuning strategies, and model safety.
• Establish and standardize MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) practices, pipelines, and automation to streamline the entire ML lifecycle from experimentation to production.
• Provide strong technical leadership and architectural guidance to the data science team, steering them towards best practices in model deployment, system resilience, performance optimization, responsible AI, and advanced GenAI solution patterns.
• Work closely with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, operational technology (OT) teams, embed security best practices into all AI architectures from the outset, protecting sensitive data and preventing unauthorized access or manipulation of AI models, including IP and data handling for GenAI.
