Job Purpose

American Honda Finance Corporation (AHFC) is currently seeking an AI Business Analyst for our Strategic Planning division. The AI Business Analyst will contribute to the Strategic Planning department’s innovative goals, with a focus on AI initiatives. The Analyst will lead short to long-term strategic AI projects, using an agile mindset to quickly progress from ideation to implementation while juggling multiple projects. Continuous learning is required to stay abreast of technological advancements and trends in the larger automotive and financial services industries. This role is key in preparing AHFC to meet and exceed future customer expectations through AI and other innovative solutions.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities will include but not limited to


  • Strategic AI Planning

The AI Business Analyst works closely with peers, Strategic Planning Assistant Manager, Strategic Planning Manager, and corporate and field operations to build an effective AI road map.

  • AI Initiative Ownership

Lead AI initiatives through proposal, development, and implementation while working closely with Captive Finance IT and external vendors

  • Contribute to the Strategic Planning Department and AHFC by involvement with ad hoc research, reporting assignments, and non-AI initiatives as needed.


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Education Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required in finance, economics, business, business administration, mathematics/statistics, data science, or related field.
  • MBA or related MS degree preferred


Minimum Experience

  • 3+ years in a financial or technological field, or an outstanding academic record
  • Deep understanding of AI technology, capability, and implementation strategies
  • Must have a solid understanding of the automotive industry / automotive finance business
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively

Working Conditions


Work Style – 80/20 (4 days in office/1 day remote) Torrance, CA location

Travel up to 10%
