AI Engineer

Experience required: 5-8 Years

Location : Islamabad

Systems Limited is seeking a highly motivated AI Engineer to join our team in Islamabad. This role will be responsible for driving the implementation and ongoing management of the AI Management System (AIMS) in alignment with ISO/IEC 42001 , while establishing strong AI governance, risk management, and compliance practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. ISO/IEC 42001 Implementation & Management

• Lead the implementation and certification of ISO/IEC 42001 (AI Management System – AIMS) .
• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s AI Management System.
• Establish policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with ISO 42001 requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and act as the primary point of contact for auditors.
• Track, manage, and close audit findings through effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure ongoing compliance through regular monitoring, reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

2. AI Governance & Policy Framework

• Design and implement the organization’s AI governance framework , including policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Define acceptable and prohibited AI use cases across business functions.
• Develop AI usage guidelines and best practices for internal teams.
• Ensure alignment with data protection, privacy, and information security policies .
• Maintain an inventory of AI systems and ensure proper classification and documentation.

3. AI Risk Management & Impact Assessments

• Conduct and maintain AI Impact Assessments (AIIA) for AI systems and use cases.
• Identify and evaluate risks related to:
• Bias and fairness
• Privacy and data protection
• Security vulnerabilities
• Model reliability and performance
• Ethical considerations
• Maintain AI risk registers and define mitigation strategies.
• Ensure periodic reassessment of deployed AI systems to maintain compliance and risk control.

4. AI Tools Governance & Vendor Evaluation

• Evaluate and review new AI tools and technologies prior to adoption.
• Conduct risk and compliance assessments of third-party AI vendors and solutions .
• Ensure proper due diligence, governance controls, and contractual safeguards are in place.
• Establish and manage the approval workflow for AI tool adoption.
• Monitor and address shadow AI usage across the organization.
