Key Respobsibilities We are looking for an experienced AI/ML expert to develop and deploy intelligent edge computing solutions for real-time monitoring, control, and optimisation of manufacturing process. The focus will be on AI/ML model development, edge-cloud integration, and data-driven process control. You will be accountable for: Designing and implementing edge computing solution for a manufacturing process, including hardware/software integration and secure cloud connectivity. Developing, training, and deploying machine learning models (e.g., lightweight CNNs, LFMs) for real-time anomaly detection, defect classification, and closed-loop process control on edge devices. Implementing intelligent data filtering and streaming methods to prioritise and transmit high-value process data to the cloud, supporting continuous model improvement. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of AI/ML solutions with manufacturing systems. Preparing technical documentation and contribute to scientific publications/white papers Your Profile Master's degree in Data Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience implementing edge computing solutions, industrial IoT applications, and cloud integration architectures Strong expertise in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), advanced programming skills (Python, C++), and proficiency with data processing tools (OpenCV, GStreamer) Proven experience in developing real-time data analysis systems, implementing anomaly detection algorithms, and designing process control solutions Outstanding analytical capabilities, creative problem-solving approach, and effective communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences Working knowledge of manufacturing standards (e.g., ASTM F3605) and quality assurance methodologies Proven experience architecting solutions with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and implementing secure data management practices Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing technologies and applications is a distinct advantage What You'll Love About Working Here Be part of a world-class engineering organization, working on some of the most challenging AI problems in manufacturing, energy, automotive, life sciences, and beyond.
