Performs specialized work in the development and delivery of training programs at a medium hub commercial service airport and general aviation airports. Supports the scheduling, delivery, tracking, and documentation of regulatory and operational training for airport personnel, tenants, and contractors; ensures compliance with federal and local regulations, including requirements established by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Facilitates Non-Movement Area and Advanced Movement Area Driver Training to ensure safe vehicle operations within the airport environment. Coordinates and delivers Security Training programs in accordance with TSA regulations; audits personnel files to ensure required certifications and documentation remain current. Work is performed under the general direction of the Airports Training Coordinator. Performance is reviewed through personal consultation, written reports, and conferences.


QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires qualified candidates to possess the following:

  • Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of experience planning, implementing, and conducting training classes and programs.


NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

The selected applicant for this position:

  • Must complete required National Incident Management System (NIMS) training courses IS-100 and IS-700 within 11 months of hire.


PREFERENCE QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Two (2) years of airport or airline experience at a medium/large hub airport,
  • Knowledge of airport security Code of Federal Regulations part 1542,
  • Associate’s degree in aviation management,
  • Airport non-movement driving certification, and
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
