Job Summary

  • The AI UX Engineer is responsible for designing and developing user interfaces for AI-powered products within the Data & AI Lab.
  • This includes Agentic AI solutions, AI-enabled platforms, and intelligent interfaces embedded within banking applications.
  • The role bridges design and development by creating rapid prototypes, interactive mockups, and production-ready code for crossplatform deployment with adaptive UI.
  • The engineer will work closely with AI Product Owners, ML Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Engineers within the Data & AI Lab.
  • The position requires a unique blend of UX design sensibility and front-end development skills, with a focus on creating intuitive, adaptive interfaces for AI-enabled platforms that enhance banking operations and customer experience.

Key Accountabilities

  • UI/UX Design & Prototyping
  • Design and create interactive mockups, wireframes, and prototypes for Agentic AI solutions and AI-enabled platforms with adaptive layouts.
  • Develop user-centric interface designs that effectively communicate AI capabilities while maintaining intuitive user experiences for both internal and customer-facing applications.
  • Front-End Development
  • Build production-ready applications for AI product interfaces, ensuring responsiveness, accessibility, and performance across platforms.
  • Integrate AI services and APIs into user interfaces, including RESTful endpoints, real-time data streams, and state management for AI-driven features.
  • Develop reusable UI components and maintain a design system for consistent AI product interfaces across the Data & AI Lab portfolio.
  • AI Product Integration
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to understand AI model outputs and translate them into meaningful user interface elements and visualizations.
  • Design and implement UI patterns for Agentic AI solutions and AI-enabled platforms aligned with banking user expectations and enterprise standards.
  • Support integration of AI-enabled features into existing banking products working with IT development teams to ensure seamless user experience.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms and analytics to capture user interactions with AI products for continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration & Agile Delivery
  • Work within Agile/Scrum teams alongside AI Product Owners, Data Scientists, and ML Engineers to deliver iterative UI improvements based on user feedback.
  • Participate in user research, usability testing, and gather requirements from business stakeholders for AI product interfaces.
  • Present design concepts and prototypes to AI Product Owners and stakeholders, incorporating feedback into final implementations.
  • Quality & Standards
  • Ensure all AI product interfaces comply with the bank's brand guidelines, accessibility standards (WCAG), and security requirements.
  • Maintain code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to development best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging AI interface patterns, design trends, and front-end technologies to continuously improve the team's capabilities.

Key Competencies

  • Design & UX Skills
  • Strong UI/UX design skills with proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • In-depth understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and usability best practices.
  • Ability to create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes with adaptive layouts for multiple form factors.
  • Experience designing interfaces for AI-enabled platforms and enterprise applications.
  • Front-End Development Skills
  • Proficiency in Flutter/Dart for cross-platform development.
  • Strong understanding of adaptive layouts and responsive design patterns for different screen sizes.
  • Experience with REST API integration and state management (Provider, Riverpod, BLoC, or similar).
  • Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
  • AI Understanding & Collaboration
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts and how AI models generate outputs for integration into user interfaces.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and AI Product Owners in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with iterative design and development cycles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Interaction Design, HCI, Digital Media, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX Design or Front-End Development with demonstrable portfolio.
  • Proven track record of delivering user interfaces for complex applications, preferably in fintech or enterprise software contexts.
  • UX certification (Nielsen Norman, Google UX) or Flutter/Dart certifications preferred.
  • Portfolio demonstrating adaptive UI designs or enterprise application interfaces required.
  • Experience with AI-enabled products is a plus.
