Alarm Monitor/Dispatcher

Job Title: Alarm Monitor/Dispatcher-Full Time

Shifts: Second Shift (3pm-11pm/4pm-12am) Available

Job Summary: The Sentry Alarms Monitor will respond to alarms as well as business and residential control systems. The Monitor will use various communication devices, software, and hardware to successfully provide levels of security and information to customers of Sentry Alarms. The Monitor will work as a team with fellow Sentry Alarms employees to educate and assist customers. The Monitor will be responsible for providing an excellent customer experience and complete understanding of the sequence of events related to the signal being processed on behalf of the customer.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to alarm activity
• Communicate with customers for alarm response and general information
• Provide excellent customer service
• Communicate with police and fire departments for proper alarm response
• Maintain communication with necessary employees
• Schedule service calls when appropriate
• Author and revise necessary customer and account information
• General office work, including filing
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to maintain project a calm attitude in alarm situations
• Ability to follow monitored signals to resolution
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to work as a team with diverse individuals
• Ability to use various software programs, including but not limited to email, spreadsheets, word processing
• Ability to be trained
• Ability to use various electronic devices, including but not limited to tablets, smartphones, laptops
• Ability to work both independently and aspart of a team

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
