Job Summary
Primarily responsible for coordination of the assigned court docket(s), staffing with collaborative agency partners and assessing and linking program participants with needed services, including treatment, mental health, and supervision. Assigned to Drug Court/Mental Health Court/DUI Court/Co-Occurring Court/Prison Reentry or other court dockets.
Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
1.Primary responsibility is to ensure coordination of court dockets, including, but not limited to regular review, termination, in-custody, initial appearance, plea dockets, or other dockets as assigned.
2.Lead weekly team staffing prior to assigned court dockets.
3.Provide coordination services for alternative court participants to community partners, including treatment and supervision.
4.Make appropriate community referrals for housing, mental health, and other identified client needs.
5.Maintain a tracking list for residential and long-term in-patient participants.
6.Prepare review docket for staffing, including researching the following: drug testing, prior sanctions, level of care, missed appointments, and case management needs.
7.Prepare sanctions lists for the court team.
8.Coordinate and track assigned drug testing colors and communication with drug testing labs.
9.Maintain regular communication with assigned teams, including via email and phone.
10.Backup for other coordinators in covering review dockets.
11. Coordinate inpatient/residential placements, jail releases and transportation with treatment and deputies as needed.
12.Coordinate bench warrants and jail releases with court clerks and deputies as needed.
13.Perform assessments and screenings as needed to assist court or treatment. Conduct initial investigation to determine court eligibility as assigned.
14.Compile participant resource information and distribute it to clients.
15. Provide participant information to the Judge and team as requested, including address, phone, and other contact information.
16.Track AWOL, current, active, and other status categories of clients in database.
17.Testify in revocation hearings when requested.
18.Prepare reports or data composites as requested.
19.Perform related responsibilities or activities as directed.
20.Maintain phone accessibility for team members and participants

Education/Experience
1. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field of study and 2 years satisfactory full-time paid employment in criminal justice or a related field of work; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience, substituting one additional year of full-time paid employment in a related field of work for each year of education. 2.Professional experience in direct service case management is preferred for this position. 3.Experience working with the veteran population is preferred

Language Skills

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Special Job Dimensions
1.Some additional job-related travel may be required for conferences, required meetings and/or regional events.
2.Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
3.Minimum of 6 continuing education training credits per year. Must be in the field of criminal justice. (NADCP approved courses, ODMHSAS approved Course, etc…)
