Aluminum Fitter/Welder

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, skilled, and dependable Aluminum Fabricator to join our team at a competitive pay rate. This position involves fabricating, fitting, and assembling aluminum components and structures from drawings and specifications for marine projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented team player who will show up on time, work independently or as part of a team, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble aluminum components accurately
• Perform aluminum MIG and/or TIG welding as needed
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, presses, and other shop tools
• Lay out parts and verify dimensions to ensure proper fit-up
• Maintain quality standards and meet production schedules
• Inspect completed work for accuracy and workmanship
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, welders, and other fabrication team members

Qualifications

• Proven construction site experience with aluminum fabrication or related manufacturing environments.
• Skilled in MIG welding/TIG welding.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, welding machines, plasma cutters, and heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting heavy materials safely on construction sites or in fabrication shops.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication work.
