Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an (AM) Restaurant Server at our premier hotel, where hospitality meets excellence! In this vibrant role, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service in our upscale dining environment. Your energy and passion for food service will help create memorable moments for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive.

  • Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, ensuring quick and precise entry
  • Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs promptly, managing complaints gracefully, and fostering positive guest relations
  • Assist with food handling, serving, bussing tables, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed during busy periods
  • Utilize OpenTable for reservations management and optimize seating arrangements to maximize restaurant capacity
  • Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations for check settlements
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food industry regulations and hotel policies
  • Support team members with training on POS systems, food preparation procedures, and hospitality best practices

Qualifications

  • Proven restaurant experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably with fine dining or nightlife exposure
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and proper food handling techniques
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that enhances guest satisfaction
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a busy setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience in upselling menu items to increase sales and improve guest experiences
  • Background in culinary arts or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required
  • Strong communication skills coupled with basic math proficiency for cashiering and cash handling tasks
  • Previous host/hostess or serving experience within the food industry is preferred but not mandatory
