Job Summary
Human Capital is seeking on behalf of our client for the position of Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager Finance. This role is ideal for finance professionals with strong expertise in financial reporting, month-end close, compliance, and business analysis. The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting, strengthening controls, and supporting strategic financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with timely reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and notes in accordance with IFRS.
- Oversee journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
- Coordinate with external auditors for interim and year-end audits.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
- Support statutory filings and regulatory submissions.
Analysis & Insights
- Perform variance analysis against budget and forecasts.
- Provide commentary on financial performance for management reporting and board packs.
- Assist in financial models and scenario analysis.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Identify automation and efficiency opportunities across finance processes.
- Serve as key contact for ERP systems and coordinate enhancements with IT.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for reporting processes.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise and mentor junior finance team members.
- Work closely with cross-functional departments.
- Support senior management on ad hoc projects, M&A reporting, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements :
- ACA, ACCA, ICMA or equivalent qualification / finalist.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, audit, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Hands-on experience managing month-end close processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Experience with an audit firm.
- Experience in a listed company.
- Experience in a manufacturing company.
