Job Purpose
The AML Officer is responsible for ensuring Rizan Jewellery’s full compliance with UAE Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) laws and regulations applicable to Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs), particularly in the precious metals and stones sector.
Key ResponsibilitiesAML & CFT Compliance
- Implement and maintain AML/CFT policies and procedures in line with:
- UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2018
- Cabinet Decision No. 10 of 2019
- Cabinet Decision No. 58 of 2020
- Ministry of Economy (MoE) AML guidelines for DNFBPs
- Act as the designated AML Compliance Officer and point of contact with regulators.
- Ensure registration and ongoing compliance with the goAML system.
Customer Due Diligence (CDD / KYC)
- Oversee and review Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes.
- Ensure proper identification, verification, and risk classification of customers.
- Monitor Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and high-risk customers.
Transaction Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor high-value and suspicious transactions, especially:
- Cash transactions
- High-risk jurisdictions
- Large bullion or jewellery trades
- Investigate unusual transaction patterns.
- Prepare and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
Risk Assessment & Controls
- Conduct and update the Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA).
- Identify AML risks specific to the jewellery and precious metals business.
- Recommend and implement risk mitigation measures.
Training & Awareness
- Conduct AML/CFT training for staff, including sales and operations teams.
- Ensure employees understand red flags related to money laundering in jewellery trade.
Record Keeping & Audit
- Ensure proper maintenance of AML records as per UAE requirements.
- Support internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
- Prepare compliance reports for senior management.
Requirements & QualificationsEducation & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, Business, or related field.
- AML certification preferred (e.g., CAMS, ICA, or equivalent).
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of AML/compliance experience in the UAE.
- Mandatory experience in DNFBP, jewellery, bullion, precious metals, or trading sector.
- Strong knowledge of UAE AML laws and MoE compliance requirements.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
