Compliance Coordinator

The Compliance Coordinator supports the implementation and monitoring of regulatory, operational, and internal policy compliance across all departments working under the private engineering office. This role ensures that all work activities—from project execution and procurement to maintenance and operations—are aligned with UAE law and internal quality and safety standards. The role also involves maintaining documentation, supporting audits, and facilitating interdepartmental accountability.

JOB LOCATION - FUJAIRAH, UAE

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree/Diploma Engineering, Business Administration, Quality, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with local regulations in the Middle East.
  • Valid UAE driver’s license.
  • Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification advantageous in QMS, OHS & EMS.
  • Microsoft Office Suite & compliance tracking systems, document control tools, or ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle)

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a compliance, coordination, or administrative control role, preferably in engineering, construction, or facilities.
  • Familiar with UAE compliance regulations, municipality procedures, and ISO standards (9001, 14001, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Office, document control, reporting, and audit tracking
  • Experience working ISO Management systems – 14001 & 9001

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Environmental Compliance: Ensuring that projects comply with environmental laws and sustainability standards and implementing LEED system across the facilities.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Issuing PPM work orders. Maintaining PPM records, preparing reports, and submitting necessary reports to management & client
  • Audits & Inspections: Conducting internal and external audits to identify and rectify compliance gaps.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that engineering practices align with local, national, and international regulations.
  • Training & Awareness: Educating employees on best practices, legal requirements, and ethical considerations.
  • Ethics & Code of Conduct: Ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines in execution of duty & engineering practices.
  • In-depth understanding of UAE compliance laws, municipal regulations, and internal protocols related to engineering, construction, HSE, procurement, and facility operations.
  • Skilled in maintaining compliance logs, SOPs, audit findings and regulatory correspondence in an organized and confidential manner.
  • Supports internal audits and spot checks, tracks open actions, and ensures timely closure of compliance issues across multiple departments.
  • Strong ability to liaise with QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, Construction, and Admin teams to align processes and escalate non-compliance discreetly and efficiently.
  • Prepares structured compliance reports, incident summaries, and dashboards with attention to detail and precision required in a high-profile environment.
  • Capable of reviewing and verifying Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules for critical systems (maintenance frequency, certification status, generators, water pumps, HVAC chillers, lifting machinery)
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, legal interpretation, and policy alignment.
