Job Summary:
The Anaesthetist will be responsible for providing safe and effective anaesthesia and pain management services to patients undergoing surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures. The role involves pre-operative assessment, intra-operative management, post-operative care, and participation in critical care and emergency response as required in a multispeciality hospital setup.
Key Responsibilities:1. Pre-Operative Duties:
- Conduct thorough pre-anaesthetic evaluations and obtain informed consent.
- Assess patients’ medical history, allergies, and previous anaesthetic experiences.
- Plan suitable anaesthetic techniques in consultation with surgeons and physicians.
- Ensure all necessary investigations and pre-operative preparations are complete.
2. Intra-Operative Duties:
- Administer general, regional, or local anaesthesia safely and effectively.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs continuously during procedures.
- Manage airway and ventilation as required.
- Handle any intra-operative complications promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate anaesthesia records throughout the procedure.
3. Post-Operative Care:
- Monitor patients during recovery and manage post-anaesthetic complications.
- Provide pain management, including post-operative analgesia and sedation.
- Evaluate patients before discharge from the recovery room or ICU.
4. Emergency & Critical Care:
- Respond to emergency situations such as cardiac arrests and trauma cases.
- Assist in the management of ICU patients requiring ventilatory or sedation support.
- Participate in hospital-wide emergency response teams.
5. Administrative & Academic Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper documentation of anaesthetic procedures and patient data.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, NABH standards, and infection control policies.
- Participate in CMEs, clinical meetings, and continuous professional development.
- Train and guide junior doctors, nurses, and technicians in anaesthesia practices.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in the department.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: MBBS with MD / DNB / DA in Anaesthesiology from a recognized institution.
- Registration: Valid registration with Medical Council of India / State Medical Council.
- Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of post-PG experience in a multispeciality hospital preferred.
- Skills: Expertise in general, spinal, epidural, and regional anaesthesia; ventilator management; pain management techniques.

Remuneration:
