Responsibilities
The Corporate Accounting Department at Oaktree is seeking an Accounting Analyst responsible for supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing financial results.
Responsibilities include:

Responsible for the daily accounting operations: compensation and benefits including payroll, equity and incentive compensation, cash reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, business tax, and other core general administrative expenses.

Develop relationships and work closely with business partners including Payroll, HR, and Compensation Operation to ensure smooth execution of payroll accountings entries related to payroll, equity compensation and benefits

Participate in the month-end and quarter-end close process, including posting of accruals, account reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and preparation of management reports.

Review financial calculations and account analysis; create robust supporting schedules for assigned accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Identify and implement process improvement opportunities in journal entry posting, reconciliations and other operational processes of Workday.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors in annual audits and complete requests related to the role of subject matter expertise.

Perform certain key internal control processes.
Qualifications
-
3+ years of experience in accounting, operational accounting experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting, operations, account analysis, and management reporting.

Excellent understanding of business operations and linkage to accounting in order to initiate and lead process improvements and documentation of standard operating procedures.

Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems.

Specific experience with Workday systems a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
