Capstone is recruiting for a motivated Analyst to work on our TMT team. The Analyst will be an active member and involved in all aspects of debt advisory and placement client engagements, including: transaction screening, new client marketing, financial modeling and accounting analysis, industry and sector analysis, transaction due diligence, memorandum drafting, prospective lender/investor marketing, and other execution efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing companies, industries, historical financial statements and prospective financial information.

  • Building financial models and performing valuation analyses.

  • Drafting proposal materials and transaction marketing documents.

  • Assisting in identifying appropriate investors and/or strategic and financial buyers.

  • Managing and executing due diligence.

  • Maintaining relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.

  • Analyzing M&A market trends and writing related industry research.

  • Updating deal records in firmwide CRM (DealCloud).

  • Provide guidance/oversight to analysts and interns.

  • Must have a willingness to take on additional projects and work outside of the scope of the job description.

  • High degree of maturity and integrity.

  • Strong attention to detail, leadership skills and work ethic.

  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.

  • Solid understanding of financial statements and financial modeling.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Preferred in business, economics, finance, accounting or similar

  • 1 year of related experience in M&A or corporate finance

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Capital IQ

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Investment banking (preferably M&A) or similar internships

  • Proven leadership and/or mentoring experience

  • Self-starting team player who can excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environment

  • If not held already, will be expected to pass the FINRA Series 79 exam (Investment Banking Professional

Compensation Range:

$85,000 - $95,000 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
