About the Role

Total Wine & More is seeking an Analyst II, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our Finance & Accounting team in Bethesda, MD. In this role, you will help with core planning work, build clear financial insights, and support forecasting and reporting that guides leaders’ decisions. You’ll own specific workstreams and use strong analytical and data skills to review financial results for Human Resources. You will also work closely with partners across Finance and the business, giving you exposure to retail finance and the chance to build strong cross functional relationships. This role will report to the Director of FP&A.

You will

• Analyze and update financial schedules to support cross functional programs (such as regulatory work, compensation, benefits, and planning), following established templates and timelines to ensure accurate and complete inputs
• Prepare forecasts, planning inputs, and recast updates for assigned areas using provided assumptions, and support Finance teams by highlighting changes and maintaining documentation
• Compile and evaluate data, analysis, and summaries to produce clear and accurate reports for leadership review, ensuring templates are updated and information is current
• Collaborate with cross functional partners to gather and validate financial inputs, track deadlines, and follow up on missing or incorrect information
• Ensure compliance with established financial processes and assist with audit and process improvement activities to support accuracy and efficiency

You will come with

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1 year of experience in FP&A, operational finance, or a similar area preferred
• Strong analytical skills (forecasting, financial models, and variance analysis)
• Exposure to compensation, benefits, or headcount planning in an FP&A or finance team (preferred)
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas; experience with other data tools is a plus)
• Clear communication skills and comfort working with Finance and business partners
• Highly organized, detail oriented, and proactive about spotting issues and suggesting improvements
• Able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in retail, beverage alcohol, or other regulated industries is a plus
