The External Budget Office is seeking a highly skilled analyst to join our team. We are a small group of supportive and hard-working individuals who are passionate about delivering quality products and services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead projects, facilitate meetings, utilize your analytical skills, and gain a deep understanding of the state's budget process.
Under general direction of the Administrator II, the Budget Analyst will help prepare the Governor's Budget by completing the most complex, critical, and highly sensitive budgetary assignments that impact internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate with various teams across the department and work directly with all levels of staff to develop Budget Change Proposals and Legislative costings. You will be responsible for managing multiple assignments, some of which have tight time constraints. Other duties include: creating, updating or formatting Excel spreadsheets, drafting and editing correspondence, analyzing data, providing guidance to staff, responding to inquiries in a timely manner, and facilitating projects. This role also serves in a mentor capacity for journey-level analysts.
