Designation - Analyst (Instrument Lab - LCMS )

Experience - 1 - 3 Yrs

Location - Mumbai

Responsibility & Authority:

1. Comply with the laboratory’s Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.

2. Perform sample preparation, instrument setup, and testing using LC-MS (Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry) as per approved methods and SOPs.

3. Ensure that all analyses are carried out accurately, efficiently, and within the specified turnaround time to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

4. Calibrate, operate, and maintain the LC-MS and associated instruments (HPLC, balances, pipettes, etc.) as per the preventive maintenance schedule.

5. Perform system suitability tests (SST) and instrument performance checks before and during analysis to ensure data reliability.

6. Prepare standards, reagents, and mobile phases required for LC-MS analysis in accordance with standard laboratory practices.

7. Record all instrument parameters, chromatograms, calibration data, and raw results accurately in analytical worksheets or electronic systems.

8. Ensure the integrity, traceability, and confidentiality of test data and analytical results.

9. Report test results promptly to the Technical Manager – Instrumentation, ensuring all documentation is reviewed and approved as per QMS requirements. Assist in method validation, verification, and development activities under the supervision of the Technical Manager.

10. Maintain and update the instrument maintenance logbook, calibration records, and performance verification reports.

11. Identify any non-conformities or deviations during testing and immediately inform the Technical Manager for corrective and preventive action (CAPA).

12. Ensure all chemicals, standards, and reagents are properly labelled, stored, and handled following safety and environmental guidelines.

13. Participate in internal quality control (IQC) and proficiency testing (PT) programs to ensure accuracy and consistency of test results.

14. Coordinate with other chemists and technical staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of analysis.

15. Support internal and external audits by providing relevant records, documents, and technical clarifications.
